Ideas For Opening Title Sequence...

Today, in order to get the best results for our opening title sequence, i analysed existing news channels. I found that although Newsround was closest to us in terms of our audience, their title sequence did not at all reflect this. Their colour scheme was earthy using shades of blues and greens. The globe shape they incorporated gives me the impression that this news is global. I also had a look at the BBC title sequence which i thought was too serious and would already be off-putting for our target audience. Its colour scheme consisted mainly of red and white. It gives you a minute countdown in which they show you where they are located, reporters abroad, different cities and news coverages. Again this is shown on a global scale. The final and in my opinion the one that related most to THRILL was Daybreak. Their opening title sequence conveyed the different elements that start your day. E.g grabbing a cup of coffee before leaving to go to school, or getting on a bus or train. I felt like this was the most relevant to us although we would still need to adapt it to suit or target audience. I then brainstormed a list of things i felt would work well in our sequence.
